Erica Broudy, Principal
Hello, Mighty Wolverines!
My name is Mrs. Erica Broudy and I am so excited to introduce myself as the new principal of L. Douglas Wilder Middle School, Home of the Wolverines! Over the past 16 years, I have worked as a teacher and administrator and I have been so fortunate to touch the lives of so many children. I will spend a lot of time with your child and hope to build a lasting relationship with you that is based upon trust, communication, and a strong dedication to your child’s well-being. Dr. Champ and I have worked closely to ensure a smooth leadership transition and I could not be more grateful and encouraged about the opportunity to lead at Wilder! While the continued impact of COVID restricts us from meeting in person, I want to hear from you! Please consider completing a 2-minute quick survey (linked below) by July 22 to help me get started with our journey. The information that you provide will help us to keep you involved in planning for the 2020-2021 school year.
In addition to opportunities to help us identify priorities for the upcoming year, I also invite you to contact me via email at email@example.com with any questions, feedback, or just to say hello! If you need to register or turn in documents, then you may access the county website or call the school at 804-515-1100 Monday-Thursday between the hours of 8:00am – 3:00pm to make an appointment. Once again, I am so thankful for this amazing opportunity to bring my instructional knowledge, passion for school programs, and zest for positive culture and school spirit to your community. Thank you for having me!
I look forward to connecting with you soon!
Erica Broudy, Principal
Greetings Wilder Families,
To improve engagement and learning with peers and teachers in the 2020/2021 school year, Henrico County Public Schools will be activating the cameras on secondary laptops for middle and high school students. To activate the camera, the laptop needs to be serviced at the student’s home/assigned school. The total time to perform the work is about 5-10 minutes.
At each secondary school beginning Tuesday, June 30th, the technical support staff will be available to re-configure secondary laptops for middle and high school students in preparation for the 20/21 school year.
Where: Wilder Middle School
When: Monday through Thursday, beginning June 30th until the start of school — excluding July 2nd which is a school closure date
Time: 8:30 a.m.- 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.- 4:30 p.m.
Each location will practice safety precautions for COVID-19. Technical support staff will be wearing masks and practicing additional safety precautions. Each person that arrives to have their HCPS laptop serviced is requested to wear a mask and to practice social distancing. Each line will have tape on the floor about 8 feet apart to help with social distancing.
Only one individual (parent, student or guardian) should enter the school to receive service. The only thing that is needed to be brought in, to complete the work is the laptop to be reconfigured (no charger, no username/password).
The location at the school to go to for the activation of the laptop camera is Door #1 right by the office with the car rider loop. This support at each school to reconfigure secondary student laptop cameras will continue into the month of August up until the start of school.
