Check out this great video of Mrs. Jones’ class learning about potential energy, participating in Wolverines Read, working on an activity about energy forms, and writing Cornell Notes and creating interactive notebooks. Nicely done!

Picture Day packets have been sent home, so get ready to show off your best smile! Students will have their pictures taken this Thursday and Friday, October 27th and 28th. Please call the school if you have any questions.
Please take a look at the attached schedule below and make plans to attend these events and special activities. You can also find this schedule in the Tuesday Packet for 10-18-16. Thank you for your continued support of WMS!
Sponsored by your PTSA
On Friday October 21st, your scholar will be able to wear his/her hat in school all day in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Beginning Oct. 17-20 the PTSA will be collecting $1.00 for the privilege of participating. Collection will be in the mornings by the bus ramp. Scholars will receive a wristband to show they are allowed to participate. A surprise treat will be available to all scholars that include PINK in their hat.
Our “Be the Change” tutoring program officially begins today! Thanks to those who have signed up to participate. If you haven’t signed up and are interested in doing so, it’s not too late! See Mrs. Banks in the library to grab a permission form.
Please plan to attend our 1ST General Meeting. We MUST have at least 25 PTSA members present and accounted for, so voting can take place.
We have gotten off to a GREAT start! Our membership has more than doubled since last year. Let’s not lose the momentum and embody our school theme and
“BE THE CHANGE”.
WMS Families & Community Members,
As I expressed during our Back to School Night it is critically important that we support ALL scholars. Currently we have approximately 300 of our scholars who have not paid their fees at this point in the year. In order for scholars to be successful they need the appropriate tools for learning. I’m encouraging families and community members to engage in Random Acts of Kindness by Sponsoring A Scholar. Any donation will be greatly appreciated and will be applied to a scholar who demonstrates need. There are several ways you can send us your donation. You can send it with your scholar in an envelope to the front office, you can come to the school to drop it off in the front office or you can mail it to our school. Thanks to the families who have already donated. Receipts will be given to all individuals who donate. Remember to “Be the Change”.
